It is highly inconvenient that the same month I decide to start a blog about fashion is the month that my husband and I finally decide to become real adults and implement a budget. I'm going to rise to the occasion and do my best to not fall prey to temptation. Here's a helpful article from J.D. Roth's blog GetRichSlowly about how to stop buying things you don't need or wear.
I especially like this quote:

"70 percent of the clothes you own should be meat and potatoes. 30 percent should be icing and fluff — that’s colour, pattern, shine, accessories. Too many women get the proportions the other way round, then can’t figure out why they can’t get dressed."
