dress for success fundraiser

Some of you might know I've been volunteering for Dress for Success, which here in St. Louis is part of a larger organization called Connections to Success . It's a great group dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty by providing resources necessary to getting a job (like a professional wardrobe). On October 24th, Connections to Success is having a fundraiser in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness month called "In Her Shoes". The evening will consist of a cocktail hour, shopping from vendors including Scarlett Garnett and Silpada jewelry, a silent auction with prizes including Southwest Airline tickets, and a viewing of the short documentary "In Her Shoes" about how one woman rebuilt her life. I really hope you'll join me - tickets are only $25 and it should be a fun night for a really important cause. You can purchase tickets here and watch the movie trailer below.

In other news, I'm off to sunny southern California for a week - expect posting to be light for a while!!
