As much as I would have liked to have enjoyed some lovely spring weather, that was just not in the cards for us here in St. Louis last month.

blouse: dvf; pants: old navy; boots: marshall's; sweater: ann taylor loft outlet (also worn here)

There's been lots of layering and water-resistant footwear. (This blouse is my only piece of Diane von Furstenberg clothing, although I'd love to add to the collection at some point. Have you read about how my friend Elise ended up with a vintage DvF dress?)

Left - tee: h&m; jeans: thrifted; boots: dansko; necklace: flea market find. Right - dress: h&m; necklace: flea market find; boots: nine west

As I've said before, I could probably get by with just wearing black with chunky necklaces for a very long time. Here's the proof.

Left - trench: h&m; tee: old navy; jeans: james jeans; shoes: target; necklaces: old navy and the other purchased in Paris.  Right - dress: old navy; necklace: thrifted target via goodwill; shoes: nine west (last summer)

I work at a performing arts organization, and on Fridays we need to be presentable, so instead we have casual Mondays. I've been so excited to wear my new James Jeans, however, I still need to hem them. I felt pretty creative when I layered these two necklaces a while back for a night out and it worked well for dressing up my casual Monday outfit as well. These sandals are so great because you can wear the most boring outfit, throw them on, and voila, something worthy of a blog post (I hope!).
